TU Youth
Eagle Valley Trout Unlimited will offer a variety of projects and activites oriented for youth participation.
Stream Explorers
Remember the first stream you explored? Chances are, you got to know it by turning over rocks, picking up
bugs and casting a line into the water. Trout Unlimited wants to make sure today’s kids have the same opportunity. That’s why we have been focused on youth education for years and are now launching the Stream Explorers website and magazine. Each issue is filled with engaging information about trout, games and simple projects that encourage kids to go outside and discover the magic on their nearby trout streams. Once they do, we’re sure they’ll want to protect these places as much as we do. Stream Explorers

CTU Youth Conservation and Flyfishing Camp
The camp is designed to educate students on the importance of coldwater conservation and provide hands-on fly-fishing instruction. Approximately 20 students are selected each year, based on their qualifications and a written essay on why they would like to attend the camp.
Getting kids into the wonderful sport of fly fishing is an exciting endeavor, and one that comes with the need for certain equipment and helpful information. For parents it can be a daunting challenge because you cannot walk into most fly shops and find a wide selection of gear for kids. Searching the internet can be frustrating because again, there isn’t one single location that sells all manner of gear for kids.
At Take Kids Fly Fishing we hope to simplify your quest for kids fly fishing gear by providing a comprehensive listing of manufacturers of all manner of gear, from rods and reels to waders, boots, clothing, accessories, books etc. We also aim to bring you other helpful information that will help enhance your kids fly fishing experience.
Boy Scouts - Fly Fishing Merit Badge

The new Fly Fishing Merit Badge was established in May of 2002. It gives Boy Scouts the opportunity to learn about fly fishing, fly tying, and fishing conservation. It also offers Trout Unlimited members the unique opportunity to share their fly fishing knowledge with our nation's youth. Our local chapters will be a primary source of angling expertise for tens of thousands of young Scouts who want to learn how to fly fish for trout and other species. Acting as teachers, mentors, and friends, TU members can help influence the ethics and practices of young fly fisherman around the country, creating future conservationists and protectors of our fishing resources.
