Plans are already in the works for next year! See you there!

Our own John Knight and partner Chris Galvin took first place - 2 years in a row!
Round Up River Ranch
Thank you to all the volunteers that came on site to the ranch to provide hands on fishing instruction and guiding to all the campers. The experiences gained from interacting with these brave souls will go with us for years. The Chapter will continue to maintain a close relationship with the facilites manager and help oversee the fishery for those campers yet to come. Watch for updates as to how to get involved next year.

Thanks for a great summer!
Great news - but more work ahead - for Colorado River
On April 28, Denver Water and a collection of Western Slope governments and water districts announced
the terms of an historic agreement over Colorado River headwater issues. The negotiated agreement includes important protections for the Colorado headwaters from future developments, as well as offering both water and dollars to help address current impacts. Much work remains, however: the deal does not include measures to address impacts from the currently proposed Moffat Firming project, nor is the largest single diverter - the Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District - a party to the settlement. Proposed projects, added onto existing water diversions, could together remove more than 75% of the flows from the once mighty Upper Colorado. The new agreement is a great step forward, but TU will continue its work to secure the protections that are needed to protect the Upper Colorado and its tributaries for future generations. Upper Colorado: A River on the Brink
Denver, do you know where your water comes from? This new short documentary "Tapped Out" looks at the massive water diversions to the Front Range that are pushing the Upper Colorado River to the point of ecological collapse, endangering fabled fisheries as well as local economies. A must-see for anyone who cares about protecting our rivers and outdoors heritage.

Trout Unlimited: On the Rise
The show's 13 episodes will highlight places where TU is working on rivers and streams around the country. This season, the show will take you to Bristol Bay, Alaska, where a proposed open-pit gold and copper mine threatens the world's most prolific salmon fishery. On the opposite side of the country, the show visits the Delaware River--which proves to be as challenging for host Frank Smethurst as it is for the many anglers who regularly fish its waters. In Colorado, Frank visits the Animas River and is greatly rewarded for his efforts there. Other shows include winter steelhead fishing in Washington state, brook trout fishing in Maine and backcountry fishing in Wyoming. To see more clips visit On The Rise
